The recall affected V60, S60, S90, XC60, and XC90 demonstrate autos and SUVs. The influenced autos were made in a moderately short window of time, with generation dates extending from February 16, 2015 to August 22, 2016. Volvo initially began becoming aware of the safety belt issues back in August, so probably the issue isn’t available in any new autos to move off the mechanical production system after that.
The deformity comes from defective clasp studs inside the safety belt. Those studs can come free and permit the clasp to discharge from the casing, which in turns implies that the safety belt could conceivably come up short amid a crash.
