If Nigeria could actually stop importing petrol by 2018

The Ministr of Trade and Investment, Dr Olusegun Aganga just revealed Nigeria’s plans to stop importing petroleum products by 2018 but like he has it in his statement, FG is not really committed, as that will happen only if things go according to plan. What if things don’t go according to plan?
His main reason is that Nigeria has over 44 other solid minerals in commercial quantity and rich resources to sustain the country.
I guess the leaders are just waking up.
That’s if this not another plan to endorse the plans of Mr President to go on ruling. Nigerians are simply tired of promises. What they need now are not promises but actions and results. For how long have they been waiting for power?
The minister also said that Nigeria has done well, a statement which many people will counteract. As the giant of Africa, he said, Nigeria now accounts for more than 75 percent of all ECOWAS because of implementing what he called the rebasing of the Nigerian economy.
Meanwhile, electricity, which according to him makes for about 40 percent of production in Nigeria, is still not enough for the nation.
