1. Peugeot 406 is a car that has the capability to give you a good smooth ride and has a well arranged cabin as well. It’s cheap and its engines are good. I guess this is why you still see Nigerians driving it around. Anyway, it’s got some worries though, like almost every other car. The car has no hatch-back version and since it’s big, the smaller engines struggle. It appears that newer rival cars are better.
2. 2012 Toyota Camry L has for decades been a darling to Nigerians. Also in the US, it has been the best-selling car for like 10 years. Each year, Nigerians buy Toyota cars in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands. Camry is the major platform for all other Toyota cars, Avalon, Highlander, Sienna, Venza, just to mention a few.
3. Volkswagen Golf Series is another lovely car that Young Nigerians used to love driving. By the time it first came into the country, some guys were buying the car for just over a hundred thousand naira but today, things have change. For the common man, Volkswagen Golf gives comfort and confidence.
4. Honda Civic is another strong product that was an instant darling to the hearts of car lovers in Nigeria. The car appears to be for high-class Nigerians because it is more expensive than the average car on the Nigerian road. Yet, because of the quest of Nigerians for top-class performance, the car remains dear to the hearts of Nigerians till today.
