Court ruling on Pres. Jonathan eligible for re-election to wait till Jan 12, 2015

A federal high court in Abuja has reserved ruling until January 12 2015. There has been a suit filed by Olatoye Wahab and Adejumo Ajegbe, claiming that President Goodluck Jonathan is not eligible to be re-elected.

Protests over impositions in Ogun PDP & APC

Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ogun West, Ogun State gathered together at the party’s secretariat to protest some anti-democratic forces who want to subvert the process which produced Gboyega Isiaka as its governorship candidate.

Protesters shut down Imo State PDP secretariat

Protesters gathered to demonstrate against what they feel is injustice meted out to a frontline governorship contender of the PDP party, Ifeanyi Araraume, during the week of governorship primaries of the party.

Drop in power supply due to gas shortages

The Senior Special Adviser on Gas to the Minister of Power, Mr. Frank Edozie, said that power generation dropped to sabotage of pipelines and inadequate gas supply. The pipeline concerned; Transforcados, transports crude oil. It is also claimed that the frequent lack of constant power supply in Nigeria had been because of these two main reasons.
