Inhabitants of Aba, Abia State, Friday, bemoaned the resurgence of outfitted burglary and activities of pick-pockets in a few sections of the city, as looters now waylay dealers and business people between 5am. to 6am. around Ngwa, St. Michaels, Azikiwe streets and York Street.
As indicated by reports, a cross segment business sector have kept on recording early morning theft occurrences since some street pharmacists were sacked from their previous York Street, approaching the police to boost security in the zone.
In like manner, a staff of a vehicle organization, who is recognized as Mrs. Pearl Ikechukwu, said she lost over N20, 000 to the looters at the York Street by Park street intersection as she alighted from a transport at around 5.30am when three men drew closer her and pointed a gun at her.
She said: “On my way once again from work, I pulled back N20, 000 to pay an obligation at the workplace the following day on the grounds that my companion was going by 7am. When I landed from a transport that I took from Ogbor Hill to Park street at around 5.30am., three young fellows halted and pointed a firearm at me.
